‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.‘ Matthew 9:37-38

Today, few people go to a place of worship, so churches often do all they can to attract people in. Bringing people to God is the right motivation, but not all methods honour Him. Consequently, instead of church being God-focused, it becomes people-focused.

In the same way, when the Gospel is presented, elements may be removed or toned down to make them more acceptable to people. However, if God’s law is removed then sin is not explained. Without sin, we do not see our need for a Saviour nor do we see the significance of Jesus’ death on a cross. This takes the good news out of the Gospel.

However, the Gospel IS good news. BibleHelp exists to share the truth of the Bible and to reach out to those who haven’t heard God’s voice.

Statement of faith

Scriptures Inspiration

We believe in the divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of the Bible. We believe it is the written Word of God, is infallible and is the supreme authority in all matters of faith, teaching and conduct.

Trinity

We believe in one true and living God. There are three persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the sovereignty of God in creation, providence and redemption.

Jesus, Son of God

The Lord Jesus Christ as true God and true Man; His deity, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death and physical resurrection.

Salvation by grace

We believe in the justification of sinners by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe in Jesus’ sinless life, His death and resurrection.

Reality of Satan and Original sin

We believe in the reality of Satan, his opposition to God and God’s purposes. We believe in the creation of humankind in the image of God, their subsequent sin and fall, the consequences passing to all humanity, extending to every part of human nature and resulting in the universal guilt of humankind before God.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit and His convicting, regenerating and sanctifying work. We believe the Holy Spirit has been sent from heaven to glorify Christ and to apply His work of salvation.

Second coming

The ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ, His intercession at the throne of God, His coming again personally and visibly in glory and power.

The church

The one holy, universal Church which is the Body of Christ to which all true believers belong. We believe in church based mission – that it is the church’s responsibility and privilege to be obedient to Christ’s Commission to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all peoples.

Bodily resurrection

The bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the one to eternal life in heaven and the other to eternal punishment in hell.
