“for His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness” 2 Peter 1:3

Facing Life’s trials
with Jesus

The Bible is inspired by God. He caused men to write it for both our present and eternal joy. It has something to say about all of life’s problems. If we listen to God, he helps us to know how to live and find solutions to our problems.

If we come to the Bible with an open mind, willing to see ourselves as we really are and to meet with the Jesus of the Bible, then God will speak through His word.

God does not promise us heaven on earth, nor will he give us everything we want. We have to trust that God is good and he answers our prayers for our good and His glory. God knows what is best for us.

There are trials and sadnesses in each of our lives. If we trust God and allow Him to speak to us through His word and these studies, He will help us through the tough times. Our greatest need is actually to be reconciled with God himself, He forgives our sins through Jesus’ sacrifice, and gives us eternal life with Him.

Stress

“Jesus said to her ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed.” Luke 10:41-42
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
Do you feel overwhelmed with stress? Stress is how you react when you feel under pressure or threatened. It usually happens when you are in a situation that you don’t feel you can manage or control.

Money problems

“How hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!” Mark 10:24

“Life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” Luke 12:15

Rejection

“For the Lord has called you like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, like a youthful wife when you were refused” Isaiah 54:6
“My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?” Matthew 27:45
Rejection is one of the most common problems of our society today. If you think differently from the patterns of this world you will face rejection. Never in the history of humankind, individuals felt so rejected and forsaken as today.

Coping with depression

“I have come that they may have life, and have it more to the full” John 10:10
The Bible tells us that God made a world that was morally and physically perfect. No one gehaved badly, and there was neither death or sickness. When man disobeyed God, it resulted in death and humankind has lived in the fear of death ever since.
What does the Bible say about death? What is God’s plan for eternity?

Guilt

“A woman… stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears.” Luke 7:37-38

“Let us draw near… having hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience.” Hebrews 10:22

Facing death

“The sting of death is sin… but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:56-57
“… and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:15
The Bible tells us that God made a world that was morally and physically perfect. No one behaved badly, and there was neither death or sickness. When man disobeyed God, it resulted in death and mankind has lived in the fear of death ever since.
